The American Legion in Arlington WA supports our Veterans and families

This is how it all started…

Post 76 formed in 1928 Arlington Washington State. This historic building was built in 1910. American Legion was originally chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic Veterans organization. Focusing on service to Veterans, servicemembers and communities, the Legion evolved from a group of war-weary Veterans of World War I into one of the most influential nonprofit groups in the United States.

Arlington American Legion Post 76 is made up of a diverse membership. Post are Veterans, Auxiliary are spouses, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, adopted, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, spouses, direct and adopted female descendants of all men and women who were in the Armed Forces of the United States. SAL or Sons of the American Legion Squadron are all male descendants, grandfather, father, adopted sons and stepsons. SAL is only for males, while Auxiliary can have males and females.
